For ten years, Bong Da and Srey Srah have been more than just our foundation’s caretaker and site-managers, they’ve been the heart of the Red Road Foundation. Today, we’re asking for your help to give back to this remarkable family.
Their Impact
Every day, this incredible couple:
- Nurtures our organic farm and school grounds
- Welcomes volunteers with authentic homestay experiences
- Teaches traditional farming and eco-product creation
- Manages our natural medicine and up-cycled plass production
- Supports three children while opening their hearts to others in need
- Serves as the backbone of our sustainable education mission
- Picks up and drops off all our students from school
- Manages eco-building projects with volunteers and interns
The Challenge
Their current home, built nine years ago for a family of four, now houses five people – including children aged 17, 11, and 6 – all sharing a single bedroom. Despite their tireless dedication to others, their own living space hasn’t kept pace with their growing family’s needs.
Our Vision
We aim to raise $5,000 to transform their home into a comfortable three-bedroom house that will:
- Give their teenage daughter personal space
- Provide a separate room for the boys
- Offer the parents much-deserved privacy
- Create a dignified living space for this giving family
