My internship with the Red Road Foundation was a profoundly enriching experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a dedicated & passionate team. The skills, knowledge, and inspiration gained during this time will undoubtedly influence my future endeavors. This retreat provided a beautiful & safe space after a relationship breakdown. I found like-minded, authentic women. We shared, laughed, cried. We ate, explored, yoga’d, meditated, beautified, tuk tuk’d, & shopped… I experienced a plethora of emotions amidst a whole spectrum of experiences, walking with elephants, sunrise at Angkor Wat, and the horrible reality of the Killing Fields. A great leveler and very bonding – I found my tribe! Rachel’s enthusiasm & cheerfulness are infectious, and her work is inspirational, along with her joy & love of others. Everything and everyone is Beautiful. I emerged feeling nourished, an enhanced woman. I thank you.”

In the Khmer language, Aigapheap describes the involvement of many for the betterment of the whole. the time and energy i gave to the red road foundation and the love and knowledge gained in return was synergistically beautiful. with the cooperation of the neighbors in the village, especially the children, we were able to construct with trash, grow food, and most importantly enjoy doing it..

These weeks were unforgettable. The farm is a place that encourages creative thinking and problem-solving. I was surrounded by some awesome volunteers during my stay, they made it feel like home. Thank you to the local kids for always bringing a smile to our faces and for helping collect plastic bottles from the village which are being used to create an eco brick house for the moringa oil extraction process. Lastly, this place would not be possible without Rachael. Thank you. I am forever grateful for this experience. See you soon!

You can’t get an experience in Cambodia without Rachel. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated. Not only will she show you the glorious nature of Cambodia, in its natural environment, culture and people, but also the strength and empowerment from helping others. A true inspiration.
