Holistic Wellness Retreats: The Overlooked Essential Missing from Modern Wellbeing
Sometimes in our culture, we seem to be a bit self involved. Sometimes we’re just too much in our own heads, anxious and worrying about things that don’t matter instead of putting energy into activities and meaningful experiences that will fuel our soul energy and actually bring us to the state we desire to feel. So, how do we shake the survival mindset and upgrade to creation mentality?
Sometimes in therapy and in wellness retreat travel, the whole experience is about focusing and examining ourselves with a side of pampering, which are very important aspects of wellness retreats… But, I would argue to say that there is another staple component that just may be the most important element of inner peace.
In a holistic sense, healing comes from transmuting and energetic state at its core. It is my belief that to get to the energetic state you aspire to experience, you must create fresh energy by inspiring a meaningful purpose in your life through being of service. When we do this, we get out of our spiral and invite fresh energy to infiltrate our fields- this in turn expands the energy that we are putting in and brings us to feeling differently about ourselves and life.
Sometimes, we need to step outside of ourselves and see how we can be of service because it’s in being of service that we feel satisfaction, fulfillment, and true confidence that so many of us are lacking.
As corporate jobs have gotten more able to replace people, and many times people only see a small little fraction of a project that they are working on… the human need to feel satisfied and of value gets lost. Therefore, the feeling of fulfillment that comes from growing something and building something is lost in many modern day jobs . That essential component for holistic wellness is missing in many retreats these days. It is needed because the masses are missing this in modern -day civilization.
Our ancestors were living in communities and tribes where everyone had a role and contributed to the good of the whole. That gave each person the self-respect and self love through purpose. Service learning is a huge aspect of personal development and wellness. We learn so much about ourselves within the context of what we have to offer, what we enjoy offering, the feelings that we get from giving back, making connections with others and learning how to lead in our own right are all very important aspects of healing holistically.
It is nurturing the seed of giving, purpose, and working together that will help people elevate to new states of consciousness. This energetic up leveling is what attracts better things into our lives and truly make us feel worthy of the goodness and abundance that’s available to all of us if we’re just in the right frame of mind to receive it.
So, next time you’re booking a wellness retreat, be sure to contemplate what meaningful travel means to you.
If there’s a retreat in a far-away land where you can be of service alongside adventure, rejuvenation, self-reflection, resting in luxury, enjoying nature and having the opportunity to contemplate local perspectives through cultural curiosity then I’d say you found yourself a well-rounded, and transformative wellnesss retreat! And if you’re looking for that retreat…
